The 2025 version of the long distance triathlon in Roth will take again on July 6th 2025.
The sports festival in the triathlon stronghold has been home to triathletes from all over the world since 1984. 3.8 km swimming, 180 km cycling and 42.2 km running through the triathlon district of Roth. Emotions and goose bumps are guaranteed, for example at the mythical swim start at the Main-Danube Canal, at the legendary Solar Hill or at the magical finishline party in the triathlon stadium.
The reigning IRONMAN World Champions Laura Philipp (GER) and Sam Laidlow (FRA) will headline the world’s best athletes in Roth this year. Joining Laidlow at the starting line on the men’s side will be last year’s runner up Tom Bishop (GBR), German Jan Stratmann (4th place in 2024), Vincent Luis (FRA – 3x Olympian, 2x Ironman 70.3 winner) and Jesper Svensson (SWE – 2nd place in 2019). In the women’s field, among Philipp’s fiercest competitors will be Fenella Langridge (GBR – 4th place in 2023), Grace Thek (AUS) and Laura Siddall (GBR).
German former professional footballer Andre Schürrle, world record holder Jonas Deichmann (GER – 120 long distances triathlons in 120 days completed) as well as former NHL Stanley Cup winner and Boston Bruins legend Zdeno Chara (SVK) will join the 3500+ amateur starters. All athletes aim to conquer the traditional distance of 3.8 km swimming, 180 km cycling and 42.2 km running through the triathlon district of Roth in Bavaria, Germany.
