LIVE and Highlights: FIS WORLD CUP – TELEMARK 2016/17 The first Telemark Worldcup takes place in Hintertux!

The world best athletes are fighting for important world cup points. From 14 nations the best male and female Rider are arriving to compete in the disciplines Classic Sprint and Parallel.

“Characteristic for the Telemark races is that the different Nordic Disciplines are combined. In addition to the downhill the rider has to master a jump, of course with the classic telemark landing. The rider has to pass a spinner (360° steep face curve) and afterwards has to master a Skating Passage till he finally passes the finish line. The driving style is very important for the point allocation. The rider should avoid to not meet the given minimum bore or to not make the telemark step. For these mistakes it gives Penalties (penalty seconds) ”
The opening ceremony takes place on Thursday November 26 2015 at the village square in Lanersbach. Furthermore the numbers for the race of the next day will get allot.
