Red Bull Hardline downhill MTB Maydena Bike Park in Tasmania Australia
Ronan Dunne Race Winner:
“I know this is insane. Such a sick week. Uh, the track was so mint and the crowd was Oh, crowd was insane. They were on it all weekend. Yeah, just frothing. Yeah, this is probably, this is my favourite race out of every race I’ve done ever. I think it’s just with this insane crew out here and like, yeah, I’m so stoked for there to be series. I can’t wait for there to be more and more and Wales, I’m frothing for that. I had a pretty good quality run to be honest and didn’t do crazy well and I was like, oh, but, and like that is my race bike as well. Um, so it was, uh, for sure a little bit nervous, but yeah, I was happy, super happy with my race all around, but then felt like it was a pretty solid one. And yeah.”
Bernard Kerr 2. Place :
” Red Bull Hardline is honestly the sickest event in mountain biking. It’s what downhill racing means to me. It’s big jumps. It’s what I wanted to do growing up as a kid. I was hoping some event like this would come round or I thought World Cups was it. I’ve quickly realised they’re not quite what I thought they were gonna be with the jumps and the level of the track. But Red Bull Hardline has really stepped up to plate and, uh, can’t wait for more of these events. Unreal. The Tassie fans and everyone’s welcomed us so well here in, in Australia, so it’s been unbelievable. But I am hyped to get back to Wales. The birthplace of Red Bull Hardline. My run was a bit safe, honestly. I could have done that run a hundred times and I came off the Road Gap and I knew I hadn’t pushed enough and I was like, oh my God, man, you need to go here. And tried like to yolo the bottom section as quick as I could but, ah well stoked for Ronan but second is not what I came for.”
Gracey Hemstreet BFGoodrich Rider of the Week
“Oh, the best time of my life, I, uh, played it safe ’cause it was pretty slick, but yeah, pulled for the last jump when it was super windy. So , It was gnarly. But yeah, stoked.”
