The Nations Cup of the Tchoukball Geneva Indoors , Switzerland from 19th to 21st December 2024. This year’s edition sees a selection of the best tchoukball players in the world, who will be competing in the women’s and men’s categories.
Every year, the Tchoukball Nations Cup grows in stature and interest, and today, along with the world championships, it is the most prestigious tchoukball competition in the world. Some of the best players in the world will be present in the 17 national teams represented. The organizers are delighted to welcome new delegations such as Singapore in the women’s category and Canada in the men’s category. The qualification games delivered a series of nail-biting matches, showcasing incredible skill and fierce competition.
In the men’s final, the classic Nations Cup matchup unfolds as expected: Switzerland versus Italy. The two teams, familiar rivals, deliver a thrilling performance, showcasing incredible defense and spectacular shots to the delight of the many spectators. Italy gains a slight advantage, and despite the passionate support of Swiss fans, the home team struggles to close the gap. Ultimately, Italy secures the victory with a final score of 52–63.
In the women’s final, Singapore earns their spot by defeating the Swiss ladies in an exciting semi-final, while Italy advances by overcoming the German DDT team. Both teams start the final match strongly, determined to claim the title. Spectacular plays, particularly in defense, captivate the audience as the game unfolds. Over time, Italy gains the upper hand and secures the victory, once again claiming the title with a final score of 47–40.
